The Senior Educational Design Specialist will play a key role in driving the development of high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of our team and membership. This position will work closely with leaders and subject-matter experts to design and deliver training programs that increase skills, knowledge, and behaviors.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Design and develop curriculum that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
- Learning Management System (LMS) Management: Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot the LMS to ensure seamless delivery of educational programs.
- Content Development: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to review, develop, or source content to meet member training needs.
- Training Experience Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of course processes and training experiences to enhance learner engagement and outcomes.
- Project Coordination: Serve as project coordinator for new training development, ensuring timely and effective delivery of projects.
- Network Development: Establish a network of contractors and industry partners to support educational program goals, including technical writers for course development.
- Ad Hoc Support: Provide support for ad hoc training needs and other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Learning and Performance, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Design, or a related field.
- Experience: Five or more years of technical training experience and/or instructional design experience.
- Skills: Strong working knowledge of modern curriculum development methodologies and adult learning theories, ability to apply creative problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal and operational skills.
- Initiative: Strong bias for action, ability to initiate, coordinate, and manage numerous projects and schedules simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional environment.
