Biotechnology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biotechnology Specialist to join our team at Actalent. As a Biotechnology Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in a cleanroom environment, including setting up bioreactors, seeding cells, and sampling organs to complete various R&D experiments.

• Bioreactor Operations: Set up, monitor, maintain, and take down organ bioreactors using aseptic technique.
• Data Management: Record and maintain data in accordance with protocols.
• Troubleshooting: General laboratory and bioreactor troubleshooting.
• Collaboration: Assist the broader R&D department with complex laboratory tasks such as mammalian cell culture.
• Training: Conduct training on bioreactor maintenance and other routine procedures.
• Compliance: Safe handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Quality Assurance: Read, understand, and follow all SOPs as trained.
• Facilities Management: Maintain research suite in appropriate order, including disinfection of floors and worksurfaces.
• Environmental Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience: 1+ years industry lab experience following aseptic technique.
• Background: 6+ months working in an R&D laboratory environment.

• GMP Documentation: Understanding of GMP documentation.
• Cleanroom Procedures: Understanding of cleanroom gowning and procedures.
