The Front Office Manager is a senior hospitality leader responsible for the overall success of the front office department at Charter Senior Living. This key role oversees the management of front desk operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences and excellent customer service.

About this Role:

  • Directs and coordinates the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone staff
  • Supervises workloads during shifts, evaluates job performance, and maintains working relationships with all departments
  • Ensures accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated
  • Resolves guest-related problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously
  • Updates group information, prepares group requirements, and relays information to relevant personnel
  • Reviews and completes credit limit reports, works within allocated resources, and enforces cash handling policies
  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with front office personnel, upholds hospitality standards, and promotes a positive work environment

Requirements:

  • Must have developed reasoning abilities to apply common sense understanding to instructions and read/interpret business records and statistical reports
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, calculate figures, and amounts such as discounts and percentages
  • Sufficient computer skills to use Company-issued software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Dropbox, Outlook, and electronic mail programs

Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate well with others, deal with guests, and accept constructive criticism from supervisors. Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
