Job Summary:

Wilsonart, a world-leading manufacturer and distributor of engineered surfaces, is seeking a skilled Rewinder Operator to join our team in Temple, TX. As a key member of our Phenolic Department, you will be responsible for operating the mechanical rewinder to produce high-quality rolls and ensuring visual quality according to Product Quality Department specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the phenolic treated material rewinder safely and efficiently
  • Monitor and maintain visual quality according to Product Quality Department standards
  • Ensure that material is rewound properly and make any necessary adjustments to the machine
  • Notify the checker of any malfunctions and remove completed rolls for staging
  • Record all necessary information on the log and perform Oracle functions on the computer for backup to the wet end operator

Requirements:
  • 1+ year of work experience required
  • Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the Phenolic Department and other pertinent rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and safe handling
  • Knowledge of the operating functions of the rewinder machinery
