About The Role:
As a Senior Ground Operations Supervisor at Veho, you will be instrumental in overseeing the efficient execution of our logistics operations. You will lead daily interactions with various teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols while striving for operational excellence. Your leadership will be vital in coordinating a collaborative shift, ensuring successful launches and sorting processes alongside both the Veho team and our esteemed driver partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excel in a dynamic environment that requires quick decision-making and physical agility, embracing the demands of physically intensive tasks with enthusiasm.
- Efficiently navigate technology platforms to manage operational adjustments, reroutes, and other logistical challenges.
- Quickly assess operational requirements and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless operations, prioritizing safety and success.
- Skillfully operate a forklift and potentially a box truck, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods and materials.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, providing robust support to our crowd-sourced driver partners and internal teams.
- Demonstrate strong communication abilities to effectively lead a shift.
- Maintain physical readiness for the role, including standing for extended periods, moving boxes, bending, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
- Possession of a modern smartphone and proficiency in navigating apps daily.
- Forklift certification and/or experience operating box trucks is advantageous.
- Familiarity with technology platforms and tools relevant to logistics operations.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Commitment to providing outstanding experiences to team members and driver partners.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, as operational needs dictate.
