- Establish ambitious standards and objectives for the distribution center team, ensuring accountability for performance metrics.
- Oversee the deployment of operational strategies, business processes, and systems related to distribution operations, including order fulfillment and transportation.
- Monitor production metrics and set performance targets that align with organizational goals while adhering to regulatory standards.
- Utilize analytical tools to assess operations, identify inefficiencies, and implement optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate logistics with business processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to formulate plans and budgets aimed at increasing profitability and improving service delivery.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that provide insights and actionable strategies regarding business performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety protocols and governmental regulations.
- Identify developmental needs within the leadership team and address them through coaching and mentoring.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Over 7 years of management experience in an automated logistics/distribution environment, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilizing analytics for process improvement.
- Proficient in MS Office and Warehouse Management Systems, with a preference for Blue Yonder.
- Strong strategic thinking, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and problem-solving in fast-paced settings.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
