About the Position:

A well-established environmental and civil engineering consulting firm is looking for a full-time Civil Engineer to contribute to various civil engineering initiatives. The successful candidate will be proactive and capable of applying essential engineering principles and design standards to diverse projects. This role involves collaborating with Project Managers and design teams to create project deliverables. Key responsibilities include preparing engineering reports, conducting design work, performing quantity calculations, developing plan sheets, overseeing construction activities, and producing other project-related outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design of sanitary sewer collection systems.
  • Development of stormwater treatment and storage solutions.
  • Engineering of water system pumping facilities and distribution networks.
  • Planning and design of roads, parking areas, subdivisions, and site developments.
  • Utilize design software to implement engineering design standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction plans and specifications.
  • Conduct construction administration tasks, including project bidding, oversight, daily documentation, materials testing, and communication with contractors and residents.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control to comply with company standards.
  • Effectively communicate design analysis and results through written reports and documentation.
  • Travel to various job sites and offices as required.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Ability to obtain Engineer-in-Training (EI) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license within one year of employment if not already licensed.
  • Proficiency in basic MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Montana PE license is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in surveying and materials testing certifications are advantageous.
