About the Position:
Chatham University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our Immersive Media program. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching courses in immersive media, including virtual and augmented reality design and experience development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in immersive media, including introductory and advanced levels
- Develop and implement project-based studio courses
- Collaborate with full-time faculty to explore expanded applications for immersive technologies
- Participate in departmental meetings and university trainings for adjunct faculty
Requirements:
- Master's degree or doctorate degree in a relevant field (exceptions can be made with appropriate industry experience)
- Practical experience in immersive media, game development, or a related field
- Ability to teach creative coding, programming, and interactive game design technology
- Experience in human-centered design principles and user experience (UX) design
- Ability to teach Unreal Engine or Unity for immersive development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in a higher education setting
- Publication or presentation in a relevant field
- Industry experience in immersive media, game development, or a related field
