Physical Therapist

Howard University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and developing treatment plans to help patients achieve optimal physical function and mobility.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement and monitor treatment plans, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions to promote patient recovery and improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordinate referrals to community services as needed.
- Participate in clinical education and training programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and advancements in physical therapy.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures.
- Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an institution accredited by the Committee on Accreditation in Education, American Physical Therapy Association.
- Licensure to practice in the District of Columbia.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Completion of a clinical internship in Physical Therapy.
