Job Summary

The Tampa General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Seasonal Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation during cardiac/interventional radiology procedures.
  • Perform technical aspects of nursing care within the framework of established policies and procedures of the hospital.
  • Conduct patient assessment duties such as monitoring vital signs, administering medications as instructed by the physician.
  • Keep patient records, update charts, and perform other administrative tasks related to medical procedures.
  • Assist during lifesaving actions such as CPR and defibrillation.
  • Monitor patients during Conscious Sedation per physician instructions.
  • Administer medication during advanced interventional cardiac/peripheral procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Two years' experience as an RN with ICU experience.
  • Completion of 500hrs PCI certified working in a Cardiac Cath Lab in a hospital with Open Heart Surgery program.
  • Current STATE Nursing license; BLS and ACLS certification required.
