Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and advocate for the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care while focusing on the needs of the patient and exemplifying the service excellence goals of care, concern, respect, and cooperation.
  • Function as a patient advocate by being the initial contact for patient-related issues and providing triage service to support our Primary Care Clinic.
  • Utilize current nursing practices to provide patient care and recognize and consistently apply knowledge of Loyola's 14 Forces of Magnetism.
  • Clarify and implement physician orders by administering medications and performing/ordering treatments and testing as prescribed by the physician.
  • Recognize symptoms and establish priorities consistent with patient's condition.
  • Document patient's physical and emotional status and add to plan of care in order to address patient needs appropriately.
  • Review and evaluate plan of care, obtain information from patient and/or family, and add to plan of care as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, the patient, and family to promote efficient patient care.
  • Provide for the physical, cultural, and psychosocial needs of the patient and family.
  • Serve as a champion for patient safety by continually observing and monitoring the clinical environment and assuring that safety goals and standards are considered when providing care in the practice setting.
  • Perform required documentation and communicate in a competent and effective manner to meet patient and/or family needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect confidentiality of patient's Personal Health Information (PHI).
  • Assure accuracy of patient charges and direct patients appropriately with billing-related issues or pre-certification needs.
  • Assist with the daily oversight of other clinical staff when directed by the manager to maximize work flow in the practice.
  • Provide feedback to the manager when requested regarding work-related skills of non-licensed personnel.
  • Serve as a mentor and preceptor for new staff and as a constant resource to non-licensed or non-nurse personnel.
  • Remain flexible with work assignments throughout the clinical site to assure appropriate coverage to meet staffing and patient care needs.
  • Utilize time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
  • Participate in site-specific and division quality projects and initiatives.
  • Serve as a clinical expert by reporting patient-related issues and concerns directly to the manager and medical director.
  • Assume an active role in maintaining site preparedness and compliance with guidelines and standards as defined by regulatory agencies.
