Job Summary

The Clinical Trials Specialist will be responsible for managing the operations of clinical trials in the Departments of Surgery and Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery. This includes pre-study site selection visits, study visits, recruitment, and ensuring strict adherence to protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct study start-up activities for assigned clinical trials
  • Oversee the recruitment and enrollment of patients, implement study procedures, and administer informed consent processes
  • Collect and process data in specified systems, following each clinical trial protocol as developed and finalized
  • Collaborate with physicians, investigators, and other healthcare providers to ensure successful trial outcomes
  • Ensure patients are registered in accordance with Research Billing Compliance Guidelines and educate billing staff on these guidelines
  • Ensure availability of device/drug supplies and/or equipment for studies
Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or in progress

• Three years of work experience in a clinical setting preferred

• Experience in Clinical Trials is required

• Proficiency with computers (i.e., MS Office, database, Internet) and data entry
