Job Summary: Skookum Aerospace Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of automotive services and repairs to evaluate quality of work meets or exceeds industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting tests and inspections of automotive services and repairs to evaluate quality of work meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Identifying modifications to engines, fuel systems, emissions control equipment, or other vehicle systems to determine the impact of modifications on inspection procedures or conclusions.
  • Monitoring or reviewing output from systems, and conducting road tests, to validate road worthiness and operation of commercial motor vehicles follow-up inspection.
  • Performing inspections on completed work orders and documentation to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
  • Validating work order flow and reviewing maintenance documents, historical files, and inspection records to note any trends or recurring discrepancies for initiating corrective action plans.
  • Inspecting Shop Stock to ensure adequate service items are on hand prior to semiannual and annual service.
  • Acting as a technical advisor to the Maintenance Supervisor and Shop Lead.
  • Assisting the Maintenance Supervisor and Shop Lead with work order tracking and status updates in GCSS-ARMY.
  • Monitoring the Safety and well-being of employees.
Requirements:
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A/B. For veterans, you must able to obtain a CDL A/B within 90 days of hire. Must be able to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance company.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
Union Affiliation: This position is represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 37.
