Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school district near Pico Rivera, CA. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing in-person speech and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services to support students' academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, as well as their need for AAC systems.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals and objectives.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, incorporating evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
  • IEP Participation: Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive educational plans.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about current trends and best practices in speech-language pathology and AAC services.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Certification: ASHA certification (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience: Experience working with AAC systems and supporting students with complex communication needs.
  • Clinical Skills: Strong clinical skills and ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a varied caseload and school environment.
