About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician III to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair complex issues with vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in diesel fleet maintenance and repair; experience with heavy-duty equipment and complex diagnostic tools a plus.
  • Certifications: ASE certifications in diesel mechanics or related fields; EPA section 608 certification a plus.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
