North Cook Intermediate Service Center & Regional Office of Education seeks a dedicated Mathematics Instructor to join our team at North Cook Young Adult Academy (NCYAA).

The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and guiding students towards academic success in mathematics.

Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Leadership: Deliver engaging Algebra, Geometry, and Middle School Math instruction tailored to the unique needs of each student within our Alternative Education Program (AEP).
  • Curriculum Development & Implementation: Utilize approved curriculum materials and design supplementary resources to enhance learning experiences for diverse student populations.
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Student Engagement: Employ a variety of teaching techniques and modalities to create an interactive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Maintain open communication with parents regarding student performance, actively participate in parent-teacher conferences, and collaborate effectively with fellow staff members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid and current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Mathematics endorsement.
  • Preference given to candidates with multiple Illinois State teaching endorsements and/or experience in innovative educational programs.
