We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.
Key Responsibilities- Image Acquisition: Prepare and position patients accurately to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of the body.
- Patient Care: Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
- Image Management: Enter and monitor patient data and transfer images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Contrast Media Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report any potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Department Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- Education: Completion of a radiology program.
- Experience: No experience required.
- Physical Requirements: Constant standing and walking, frequent use of vision and depth perception, and occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Professional Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) and ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
