Position Overview


Wates Group is seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer to enhance our Facilities Management mobile team. This role involves supporting our clients across various locations, primarily focusing on HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and addressing Reactive Maintenance issues, ensuring compliance with contract specifications related to Mechanical Services.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a robust electrical background, as this is crucial for the role.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Heating & Air Conditioning Systems
- Significant experience in Electrical & HVAC sectors
- Previous experience as a mobile engineer
- 18th Edition certification
- C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent credentials
- C&G 2391 (Test & Inspection certification preferred)

Exceptional communication skills are essential for delivering outstanding customer service. The ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and solve problems effectively while promoting health and safety standards is also vital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with relevant legislation and contractual obligations.
  • Utilize CAFM/PDA technology for real-time job updates and provide thorough reports on completed work.
  • Respond promptly to all reactive maintenance requests related to heating and ventilation systems, including pumps, water tanks, valves, and associated mechanical components.
  • Handle call-outs and emergency breakdowns related to mechanical services as required.
