Job SummaryWe are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Caregivers with a strong commitment to customer service and a genuine passion for geriatric care. As a CNA/Caregiver, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, providing motivation and support, and ensuring a safe environment for our clients.
Responsibilities- Assist with mobility, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, light laundry, bed linen changes, and offering companionship
- Follow the duties outlined in each client's care plan
- Provide motivation and support to clients
- Ensure a safe environment for clients
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have valid driver's license, own personal, reliable vehicle with full coverage auto insurance, and be willing to do client transportation and errands if requested in care plan
- Must have at least 6 months or more paid work experience working with the geriatric population or similar care and responsibilities
- Working with clients with Dementia and Alzheimer's is preferred
- Willing to work with pets and smokers in client homes is preferred
- Ability to use gait belt and Hoyer Lift is preferred or willingness to learn
- Must maintain required yearly training/education as mandated by agency
- Must have moderate computer and cell phone skills
- Ability to participate in physical activity
- Ability to work for extended periods of time while standing, walking, and being involved in physical activity
- Moderate lifting, 20-40 pounds
- Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and moving on a regular basis
