About the Role

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled RDK Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Embedded Software Engineering group, you will be responsible for leading feature development, delivery, and technical solutions for our clients in the cable industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead feature development, delivery, and technical solutions for our clients.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software applications for embedded systems using C, C++, and Linux.
  • Design and implement low-level video software stacks, including AV pipelines and middleware frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in technology and grow exposure to fast-paced and ever-changing cable industry landscapes.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in system profiling, CPU, GPU, NPU, TPU, Memory, etc., and apply this knowledge to optimize software performance.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in RDK development, with a strong background in C/C++ embedded programming.
  • Deep understanding of Set Top Box software stacks and strong experience with RDK video stacks.
  • Familiarity with Linux internals, media frameworks, and device drivers.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to quickly understand and translate product requirements into technical solutions.
