Chemical Analyst

APR Consulting, Inc. is seeking a skilled Chemist to join our team in the air quality laboratory. As a Chemist, you will work closely with our team to conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analyses of air samples using various techniques, procedures, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct chemical and physical analyses of air samples using techniques such as Ultra High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC), Gas Chromatography/Flame Ionization Detector (GC/FID), Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP/MS), Ion Chromatography (IC), Proton Transfer Reaction Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (PTR-MS), and spectroscopic methods.
• Assist with other laboratory duties as needed, including managing multiple tasks and adhering to chain-of-custody and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with our team to develop and implement new methods and procedures for analyzing air samples.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from an accredited US college or university, preferably with an emphasis in analytical chemistry or instrumental analysis.
• Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analyses using various techniques, procedures, and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of and experience with chromatographic, spectroscopic, and/or mass spectrometric methods is highly desired.
