Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health. As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases.

1. Position patients and formulate techniques to demonstrate breast anatomy based on accepted radiographic principles.
2. Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm their understanding.
3. Review mammogram requests for appropriateness based on clinical information provided and communicate with radiologists for final approval.
4. Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
5. Assist radiologists with biopsy and/or marking procedures performed at the Breast Center.
6. Provide guidance, direction, and mentoring to other personnel assigned to the area.

• High School or GED Diploma Graduate.
• Graduate of AMA, JRC, or Regionally Accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Registered or Registry eligible through the ARRT.
