Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, or inventory control.
The successful candidate will work on various projects, including supplier scorecard creation, managing factory supplies, supporting logistics, and collaborating on cross-departmental initiatives.
- Assist in implementing process standardization across plant operations
- Develop and implement a supplier scorecard to evaluate and monitor supplier performance
- Collaborate with procurement and quality teams to ensure key metrics are captured
- Implement a program to request updated Safety Data Sheets from vendors annually
- Create templates for email communications and maintain a tracking system for SDS compliance
- Review and optimize shipping processes using Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Manage factory supplies through Kanban systems for both plant sites
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and ensure timely delivery of supplies
- Potentially support projects aligning with Supply Chain and Governance needs
This role offers opportunities to contribute to projects within the SIOP framework, supporting supply chain planning, forecasting, and inventory management. Collaboration with the planning team is also expected to improve demand forecasting and supply chain alignment.
RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, the individual must possess:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience or coursework related to supply chain management, logistics, or inventory control
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Kanban systems
- Knowledge of SIOP processes and best practices
The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
