Role Summary and Requirements

We are in search of a Critical Care Nurse (PRN Status) for our facility to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient care to all patients. Our team is exceptional, working collaboratively to support one another, and we are looking for a remarkable addition who shares our passion for patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional nursing care and related support to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients facing critical health challenges requiring admission to the unit.
  • Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient care team members to uphold standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical environment.
  • Delegate nursing responsibilities based on patient needs and the competencies of the individuals assigned to perform those tasks.
  • Exhibit critical care competencies for managing acutely ill patients, including addressing age-specific requirements for geriatric patients.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (those with RN Compact License must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of RN ICU experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Current BLS & ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) is required.
