Critical Facility Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Facility Technician to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. in Washington, DC. As a Critical Facility Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within our data center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.
  • Serve as an expert technical resource, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure data center equipment supporting mission-critical servers maintains better than 99.999% uptime.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to type and utilize common administrative and office software.
  • Safe working practices, including lockout/tagout, SDS, and good housekeeping methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Top-Secret/SCI clearance minimum preferred and the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
  • 6+ years of experience in a related field.
