Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Baker and Packager Associate to join our team at Sam's Club. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked items daily, following recipes and production guidelines, and ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes/make-up instructions, and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment, and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures, and ensuring quality and date control standards for bakery items.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to tackle obstacles head-on to ensure each task is completed with excellence.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
