Pulmonary Therapist

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for treating patients with a range of respiratory conditions, from premature infants to elderly individuals with pulmonary disease. You will work under the supervision of physicians and deliver a range of respiratory care modalities on scheduled and emergency basis. Your responsibilities will include operating mechanical ventilators, non-invasive mechanical ventilators, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems, as well as drawing umbilical cord gases, arterial blood gases, and determining appropriateness and participating in developing and recommending modifications to respiratory care plans.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program and be credentialed through the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Licenses in the State of Washington as a Respiratory Care Practitioner are also required. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication skills with physicians, colleagues, and patients, as well as the ability to learn and utilize new technologies. Preferred qualifications include two or more years' experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within six months of hire.
