Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine patient care duties under direct supervision, ensuring the safety and comfort of our clients.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, promoting independent behavior and using appropriate interventions as needed.
  • Identify and respond to verbal and non-verbal cues for potential aggressive behaviors, using de-escalation techniques to maintain a therapeutic environment.
  • Represent the facility in a professional and courteous manner, conveying a caring and cooperative attitude.
Requirements
  • 12-hour shifts in our 5 AFC homes, located in Troy and Farmington Hills.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Participation in our week-long, paid mandatory training.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, PEG tub feedings, Hoyer transfers, bowel programs, and personal hygiene.
  • Driver's license required.
