Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Head Start Home Visitor to join our team at the Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana. As a key member of our home-based program, you will be responsible for providing education, case management, and family advocacy to families in an assigned caseload.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly 90-minute home visits to families in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Develop and implement a developmentally and linguistically appropriate curriculum and experiences for children served.
  • Collaborate with parents to plan and provide learning experiences that support school readiness.
  • Assist families in supporting social and emotional development and provide positive guidance and discipline.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure an efficient, purposeful program responsive to participant needs.

Requirements
  • Minimum of a home-based child development associate (CDA) or comparable credential or equivalent coursework.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with simple fractions.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area).
  • Reliable transportation and minimum automobile coverage required by state of employment.

Working Conditions
  • May be required to lift to 40 pounds.
  • Will be required to perform physical activities to engage with toddlers/Infant including bending, squatting, getting down and up of the floor.
  • Travel by car, bus, airplane, or train may be required to attend conferences, meetings, and other duties carried out at distant locations.
