Job Title: Recovery Support Specialist Part Time Evening Shift

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to join our Behavioral Health Services team. As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing peer support services to individuals with substance use disorders.

Job Summary:

The Recovery Support Specialist will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide recovery-oriented services, including crisis intervention, case management, and linkage to community resources. This is a part-time position, working 32 hours per week, with alternating weekend availability.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide peer support services to individuals with substance use disorders
  • Assess and evaluate consumer needs, strengths, goals, and resources
  • Develop and implement individual service plans
  • Link consumers to community resources and services
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to review cases and develop individual plans
  • Document service provision and maintain clinical and management records
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance
  • Annual Driving Abstract
  • Upon completion of 2,000 supervised work hours, the Recovery Support Specialist is required to obtain their Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in behavioral health related field
  • One year experience working with individuals suffering from drug and alcohol issues
  • Experience with Medicaid Rule 132/140
  • Knowledge and understanding of SUPR 2060
  • Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS)
  • Wellness Recovery Action Planning classes (WRAP)
  • Certified WRAP facilitator
