These platforms range from portable devices to fixed wireless systems, leveraging advanced cellular and connectivity technologies, including LPWA (CAT-M1/NB1), LTE/4G, and 5G. The role encompasses providing technical leadership to support and facilitate all necessary services that clients may require to successfully launch their products in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Employing your technical and leadership abilities, you will spearhead initiatives to address intricate customer challenges. Acting as the primary technical point of contact for clients, you will cultivate trust and relationships to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Developing strategies to comprehend use cases, replicate scenarios, troubleshoot, and identify the root causes of issues. Your adept debugging skills, paired with innovative thinking, will empower you to gain a profound understanding of complex issues and propose effective solutions with both immediate and long-term objectives in mind. Your proficiency in customer management and communication will guarantee prompt and precise responses, ultimately leading to satisfactory customer acceptance of technical solutions. You will have the ability to engage and influence various disciplines and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to achieve objectives. Your high level of technical expertise and forward-thinking approach will enable you to align customer design specifications with Semtech product features, architecting solutions and proposals to fulfill customer application requirements. You will possess the capability to fully understand customer use cases and grasp end-user application architecture to drive product enhancements within development teams. Documenting unique solutions and resolutions will contribute to the company's knowledge base, application notes, or technical publications. You are an individual who derives great satisfaction from seeing projects through to completion and achieving resolution.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer software engineering. At least 4 years of relevant industry experience in wireless technologies and embedded systems, customer-facing roles, and/or supporting technology integration. Proficiency in embedded Linux is essential; experience in software development using C++ and C programming is advantageous. Comprehensive understanding of various wireless technologies (LPWA (CAT-M1/NB1), LTE/4G, 5G) is required. Previous experience in customer-facing roles and cellular/wireless platform/device design or support will enhance your effectiveness in this position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to initiate collaboration and unite various engineering disciplines to resolve complex challenges. Familiarity with wireless communication systems and associated carrier certification requirements is a plus. Prior experience in product design and technology integration is beneficial, with the ability to analyze complex system-level issues to identify specific root causes through replication and debugging. A solid understanding of product development aspects; functional knowledge of hardware, software, and RF is advantageous. Knowledge of the telecom environment, wireless network architecture, and IoT solutions is a plus. Previous experience in Technical Account Management is beneficial. Willingness to travel to customer sites as required (occasionally).

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $83,000 - $140,000. Various factors are considered in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee's total compensation package.
