Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our team at the University of Colorado. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing athletic training services to our student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, and management. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to excellence and a passion for working with student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services to student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, and management.
  • Assist in the coordination and scheduling of athletic training services, including physical examinations and medical referrals.
  • Work closely with the Director of Athletic Medicine and Team Physicians to ensure the highest level of care for student-athletes.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs for student-athletes.
  • Conduct regular assessments of student-athletes to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with other athletic department staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student-athlete health and wellness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in athletic training, preferably at the collegiate level.
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in athletic training, preferably at the collegiate level.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends, and to be available to travel with teams as needed.
