Job Overview

• Responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems and fiber optic cabling.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnoses issues in malfunctioning telecommunications systems by testing circuits and components with various hand tools.
• Conducts tests on repaired, newly installed, or upgraded systems to verify proper functionality and compliance with specifications, utilizing test equipment and observation.
• Operates service vehicles to transport tools and equipment to job sites.
• Regularly inspects systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Fixes or replaces defective equipment as necessary.
• Modifies circuit layouts by removing and remaking connections according to work orders or schematics.
• Demonstrates equipment usage to clients and addresses any questions or concerns.
• Evaluates test results, computer outputs, and service reports to identify repair needs and methods.
• Adjusts or enhances equipment to improve performance or meet client specifications.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant field.
• Must successfully complete a drug screening.
• Possess a valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
