Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at our facility, you will collaborate with a dedicated team focused on patient care and mutual support.
This role necessitates a thorough understanding of relevant technology, independent decision-making, and comprehensive knowledge of all Federal and Utah Regulatory Commission guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute various technical procedures involving radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions in patients.
- Assist physicians in utilizing therapeutic radioisotopes under established safety protocols and in the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic purposes.
- Verify the assay of received radionuclides and calibrate doses for administration. Additionally, perform daily equipment calibration checks.- Maintain comprehensive records of equipment calibration and repairs, radiation surveys of the laboratory and personnel, radionuclide receipt and usage, as well as the storage and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with Hospital, State, and Federal regulations.
- Stay informed about new procedures, equipment, and methodologies, and engage in their evaluation and implementation.- Participate in in-service training programs as required and instruct on specific techniques and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Current Utah State Radiologic Technologist Licensure.
- Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the NMTCB, ARRT, or an equivalent registry.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
