Dietary Cook

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dietary Cook to join our team at Selectis Health. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.

• Prepare and cook resident meals in accordance with prescribed diet specifications and facility procedures.
• Clean and maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Taste and inspect all foods prepared to ensure quality and presentation.
• Serve food according to dietary guidelines and check each tray for completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor portion control guidelines to prevent food waste.
• Prepare and serve food for facility personnel, families, and visitors as directed.
• Attend in-service education programs to meet facility educational requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records.
• Protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse.

• Experience in preparing foods in large quantities.
• Organized and detailed in work performance.
• Good communication skills and self-discipline.
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people.
• Compliance with Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.

• Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Subject to call-back during emergency conditions.
• Exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and hazardous chemicals.

• Assist in evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
• Meet general health requirements set forth by facility policies.
