Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our school bus fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair school buses to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel and gas engines
  • Ensure compliance with NJ State School Bus Regulations
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals

Requirements:

  • Experience working with fleet vehicles, preferably in a school bus setting
  • Knowledge of diesel and gas engine mechanics
  • Experience with air brake systems and air conditioning certification
  • ASE certifications and CDL Class A or B License with Airbrakes and S and P endorsements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
