About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cancer Care Specialist - Infusion Therapy to join our team at US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Monitoring: Assess and monitor therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills under the direction and supervision of a physician.
  • Patient Education: Evaluate patient/family needs and provide education on treatment options and procedures.
  • Patient Flow Management: Maintain efficient and appropriate patient flow while focusing on patient safety.
  • Clinical Support: Partner with physicians to assist with exams and procedures, and perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central venous access devices and alternate delivering systems.
  • Pump Programming and Education: Program portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and provide instruction to the patient and/or caregiver in the use of the pump at home.
Qualifications
  • Nursing Experience: Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience and at least one (1) year of infusion therapy experience preferred.
  • Education and Certification: Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire, and current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.

Benefits and Compensation

  • A salary range of $ $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
