Microbiologist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Microbiology Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily assaying of samples, performing testing from a work list, and maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment.

• Assist in the daily assaying of samples and perform testing from a work list
• Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment, including cleaning work areas and glassware, and disposing of hazardous wastes
• Prepare solutions used in daily testing and maintain accurate records of work performed
• Enter data and results into eLIMS in a timely and accurate manner
• Identify method/matrix/analytical difficulties and report to supervisor

• Understanding of Quality System documents and adherence to ISO/IEC standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
