Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team. As an Echo Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians and support staff with the technical acquisition of Stress Echocardiograms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and transesophageal (TEE) on patients, obtaining the highest quality of images possible.
  • Assist in optimal operation of the echo imaging units and instruments, using them in a safe manner and reporting and documenting abnormalities when indicated.
  • Use downtime to assist in completing tasks beneficial to the department or coworkers, such as professional education, equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance, and training and orientation of new staff.
  • Perform other duties and related activities or special projects as requested by Lead Echo technologist and Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) - five (5) years of experience in performing stress echoes.
  • Completion of an accredited Sonography program in Echocardiography.
  • License, Certification, Registration - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate.
  • Knowledge of current accepted Echocardiography principles, practices, and techniques, including cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
