Job Summary:
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) performs patient-related activities at Forest Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation. Services may include purposeful activities or interventions to maximize the independence and maintenance of health of individuals limited by physical injuries or illnesses, cognitive impairments, psychosocial dysfunctions, mental illnesses, developmental or learning disabilities, or adverse environmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the occupational therapist in performing tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
- Observe, record, and report to the therapist the condition, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
- Assist the therapist in consulting with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
- Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment.
- Assist the occupational therapist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned.
Requirements:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification.
- High School Diploma/GED Required.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills.
