Electromechanical Trainer

The Industrial Trainer, Electromechanical & Automation, combines academic instruction with custom training development to meet the technical training needs of businesses in our area. This role involves creating and delivering technical training in Electromechanical, Automation, and Smart Manufacturing, and developing ties between our courses and external certifications.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom and Lab Instruction: Deliver technical training covering a wide range of subjects, including Robotics, PLCs, HMI, Data Collection, Networking, Electrical and Mechanical Systems, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Hands-On Experience: Provide detailed explanations, demonstrations, and supervise lab activities to ensure students understand equipment, procedures, and safety.
- Assessment: Review and grade assignments, labs, and tests, providing feedback and allowing resubmissions to help students improve.
- Course Design: Develop short-term program content for delivery to students and external partners, consulting with industry partners to align course development with career pathways.
- Industry Engagement: Connect with advisory committees and industry experts to enhance academic programming, conducting trend analysis and gathering feedback to improve courses.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
- Minimum of two years (4,000 hours) full-time, or equivalent demonstrated relevant occupational experience.
- Proven successful industry selling experience, preferably in educational sales.
- Knowledge of the latest Industry 4.0 technologies and their implementation.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to form and maintain strong business relationships.
- Ability to self-direct, meet performance goals, and follow through on tasks.
