Position Overview

Shenandoah Big Meadows Lodge is seeking dedicated Culinary Assistants to become part of our seasonal team. In this dynamic role, you will engage in the preparation of various dishes, ensuring that all culinary standards are met in a bustling kitchen environment.

Hourly Rate: $16.00

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food items according to specifications, adhering to portion sizes and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the culinary team for instructions and training.
  • Maintain compliance with health codes and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of food, utensils, and equipment.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties, including end-of-day inventory.
Qualifications
  • No prior experience or formal education required.
  • Ability to read and understand prep sheets and follow instructions accurately.
  • Capacity to safely use kitchen tools, including knives and small equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
  • Manual dexterity to chop, mix, and operate kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and damp environments.
