Department Overview

  • We are currently hiring for the Los Angeles Unified School District, with a focus on the Gardena area.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work as an independent contractor, providing tutoring services to students at designated school sites.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction, adapting to the needs of individual students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administrators.
  • Meet the requirements of the tutoring program, including scheduling and attendance.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Hold a minimum of 60 units of college credits, with a minimum of one year of tutoring experience (preferably in Math and ELA).
  • Demonstrate established proficiency in subject matter.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Display a high level of dependability and reliability.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring, with proof of insurance for your vehicle (if applicable).
  • Clear reference checks and background checks are required.
  • Provide a negative tuberculosis test result (valid within the last two years).
  • Offer certification, such as a Teacher's Credential or Tutor Certification (if applicable).
