Job Title: Hydrogeologist Project Manager

Alta Science and Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hydrogeologist Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our water resources group, you will be responsible for managing complex projects and interpreting hydrogeologic and environmental data.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee hydrogeology and water resources projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  • Develop and review technical documents, including risk assessments, remedial investigation/feasibility studies, and data summary reports.
  • Interpret hydrogeologic and environmental data to inform project decisions and recommendations.
  • Provide technical support and oversight to project teams, including planning, implementation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including state, federal, and tribal agencies, to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
  • Develop project scopes of work, task orders, and cost estimates, and manage project schedules, budgets, and technical teams.
  • Support marketing and business development in water resources, and mentor junior staff with the potential to supervise others.
  • Foster client relationships and embody company culture.
Requirements:
  • BS in geology, hydrology, or environmental science from an accredited university, with classes in hydrogeology; MS preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing complex projects and interpreting hydrogeologic and environmental data.
  • Experience developing and/or providing technical review of site assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and other technical reports.
  • Experience with CERCLA and related federal and state regulations and guidance.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong scientific/technical capabilities, along with organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with strong client relationships and business development.
  • Ability to travel periodically for site visits and meetings.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
