POSITION SUMMARY
The Fabrication Operations Supervisor at Piezo Technologies is responsible for guiding a dedicated team by effectively communicating organizational objectives, safety protocols, and production timelines. This role involves keeping management informed about team performance, inspiring team members, and evaluating their performance and training requirements. The supervisor will relay concerns to the Plant Manager and provide constructive feedback to teams concerning safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees daily operations within the Fabrication department, setting priorities and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Organizes unit and product schedules based on demand received from planning or management.

Identifies and resolves issues, recognizing potential bottlenecks in the production process to guarantee that necessary labor, materials, equipment, training, and support are available.

Employs problem-solving techniques to pinpoint root causes and implement suitable corrective measures.
Collaborates with internal departments to address production challenges promptly.
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of production processes and protocols.
Develops, monitors, and continuously enhances assigned processes in line with the Quality manual.
Conducts inspections of personal and team members' work to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.
Ensures that the production team achieves and sustains daily production goals.
Mentors and develops direct reports, identifying training needs and coordinating relevant upskilling opportunities.
Prepares performance documentation (including evaluations and disciplinary actions) in a thorough and timely manner.
Upholds a high standard of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
Participates in the recruitment process for open positions and collaborates with Human Resources to ensure comprehensive onboarding and training for new hires.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Background
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with CNC/Machining experience preferred.
At least 3 years of supervisory experience is necessary.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with ERP manufacturing software is required.
This position necessitates compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be U.S. persons or protected individuals as defined by ITAR.

Skills
Proficient in planning, scheduling, and monitoring production cycles.
Strong organizational skills to effectively lead production activities.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Capable of analyzing and determining methods and procedures.
Skilled in problem-solving, exercising judgment based on prior experience to identify and resolve issues.
Able to comprehend and interpret company documents, including safety regulations and operational procedures.
Capacity to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web applications.
Excellent team-building capabilities.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
Proficient in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A two-year technical degree with 5 years of experience in the electronics field or manufacturing, or equivalent experience.

The incumbent must be capable of performing essential job functions. Work may occur in an office or manufacturing environment.

Typically requires the ability to spend over 66% of each workday engaging in the following activities:
standing for extended periods, walking, bending, stooping, or climbing.

May involve exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.

Availability to work Saturdays and variable schedules as necessary.
