Developmental Teacher and Coordinator

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at The Goddard School of Deerfield (Northbrook), IL. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that promote the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of children from six weeks to six years old. You will work closely with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and stimulating environment that fosters a love of learning.
Educational Requirements:
* A CDA or
* Some college credits in any field with a commitment to enroll in and complete 6 hours of online or in-person courses in Early Childhood Education within a Year of Employment at Goddard (We can pay for this) or
* 2 years of experience in a Licensed Early Childhood Center or
* A Bachelor's degree in an early childhood field.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
* Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure smooth operations
* Participate in faculty meetings, in-service days, conferences, and professional growth opportunities
