About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) II to join our team in the Emergency Department at Penn State Health.

Job Summary

The LPN II will provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Observe, report, and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record
  • Instruct patients and families according to teaching plans
  • Communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate coordination of individualized patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current license to practice as a licensed practical nurse by the state of employment or a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • One year of LPN experience required
  • BLS certification prior to orientation

Compensation

This is a full-time position with a salary range of approximately $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits start on the first day of employment.
