Overview:
HireSource Solutions is in search of a dedicated and skilled Senior Structural Engineer to contribute to our client's projects. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in structural steel and foundation design, particularly within the heavy industrial sector, including the process industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as project manager or structural discipline lead, overseeing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Engage with clients to assess their requirements and formulate effective solutions, including cost estimates and scopes of work.
- Conduct field engineering and structural inspections as necessary.
- Guide designers in creating comprehensive structural design packages, which encompass calculations, models, and detailed design documents.
- Perform analytical modeling for both new and existing structures and components.
- Conduct engineering feasibility studies and develop total installed cost estimates.
- Ensure that project deliverables align with client specifications and adhere to technical and quality standards.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in structural engineering technologies and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and field personnel.
- Review vendor drawings and calculations as required by project scope.
- Represent the company in interactions with clients and partners, ensuring effective collaboration across disciplines.
- Identify new business opportunities to help expand our services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey, with the capability to obtain licensure in additional states.
A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience, particularly in heavy industrial environments.
Demonstrated expertise in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation design, along with familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
Proficient in structural analysis software such as STAAD, RISA, or SkyCiv.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in civil design for heavy industrial applications, including tank farm liners and containment systems.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and related civil/structural software.
