This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, serving the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets.

Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power.

Our cutting-edge technology includes Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems that enhance the reliability and resiliency of broadband networks.

EnerSys has over thirty manufacturing and assembly plants worldwide, servicing over 10,000 customers in more than 100 countries.

Our brands include PowerSafe, DataSafe, and Genesis batteries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating and maintaining test chambers and battery test equipment.
  • Creating and reviewing test documents (procedures, travelers, and reports).
  • Preparing equipment and hardware for product processing using documents and operating procedures.
  • Demonstrating proper use and care of tools and equipment.
  • Ensuring equipment is well-maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
  • Inspecting and processing incoming cells.
  • Preparing cells for assembly.

Requirements include:

  • 0-2 years of related experience in battery/aerospace or technical fields.
  • Proficiency in using electrical test equipment (DMM, Power Supply) and basic inspection tools (caliper, height gauge).
  • Ability to read, understand, and work effectively with drawings and documentation, including wiring drawings, test work instructions, test procedures, and test equipment operation manuals.
  • Willingness to work in an environment exposed to harmful materials, such as lead/fiberglass products, and take precautions to reduce the risk of exposure.
  • Ability to work in an environment with a risk of electrical shock.
  • Responsibility for wearing required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime.
