Pension Solution Project Overview

CalSTRS is seeking a highly experienced Senior Test Analyst to join their team in implementing a new pension administration system. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for the Pension Solution project, ensuring that the system meets the required standards and is delivered on time.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis and testing, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing test planning, test scheduling, and end-to-end testing. They will also have expertise in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect management.

The Senior Test Analyst will work closely with the project team to develop and document testing strategies, test plans, and test cases. They will also be responsible for facilitating meetings, documenting defects, and participating in daily triage meetings.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, and at least seven years of experience working as a Test Analyst with large organizations. They will also have experience using Test Application Lifecycle Management tools such as HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Rational Requisite Pro, or Jama.

The proposed project person will be able to adhere to the hybrid working model by working on-site 2-3 days per week at CalSTRS Headquarters, West Sacramento, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the testing efforts for the Pension Solution project
  • Develop and document testing strategies, test plans, and test cases
  • Facilitate meetings and document defects
  • Participate in daily triage meetings
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements:

  • At least seven years of experience working as a Test Analyst with large organizations
  • Experience using Test Application Lifecycle Management tools such as HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Rational Requisite Pro, or Jama
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
